Airport Sydney – baggage checked in. Now …

Leaving Sydney with 32 degrees, sun and beach. Hard to imagine that I am actually trading this for -11 and snow. YES
Arrived in Haneda on time. Snowboard and bag arrived. Olé.
5.46am an the airport is really quiet. No one is yelling or screaming. Not even a baby around. Security personnel everywhere.
Took the monorail to hamamtsuchō. Day pass is 700¥ (approx $10)
What did I learn so far:
50% wear face masks. A lot is made out of steel and the wind is freezing. Free wifi is everywhere as well as dedicated smoker areas on the streets and in Cafés.
